Audio thru spkrs or just a sound from the back? Could be hard drive 
failing. If you boot using a system or restore CD (hold down "C" key on 
startup with CD in tray) do you see the HD on the Desktp? If you do, 
copy the data off and reformat. Alternately, give me a call and I'll 
"bench" it for you and/or replace the HD.
