[DM-MUG] CD-RW no seen on older MAC

That's not entirely true. It's more likely the method of 
implementation, as CW said. I've used CD-RW's on some "outliers" but I 
don't remember which (8500 with a newer 12x Sony CD-ROM sticks in my 
mind). Some brands work and some don't. In fact, some media works 
differently as well. The newer the drive, the more likely it is to 
work, but you just have to try it.
