Jim, glad to do that but I would prefer not to bring it anywhere = if 
it's okay under the hardware test [per the applecare guy] then no 
problemo...I am trying  to avoid lugging anything around...much less 
my main office machine.  Even if I do backups.  But i'll keep you in 
mind if AppleCare tells me a repair is warranted.  Thanks.
