[DM-MUG] Can't get rid of "self-assigned IP address"

Yes, I did!  After all the putzing around with system preferences, repairing
permissions, repairing the HD with disk utility, updating to Tiger, etc.,
etc., etc., it turned out to be a bad Ethernet cable.  Boy, did I feel
stupid!

Give me a call if you need to and I'll see if there's anything more I can
