my recall is you can create an image and then import/insert it into 
your AWKs document...but you may just as easily cut and paste the 
picture onto your letter and then run the prints at Copy Max or 
whatever...depends on how fancy you want to be and your 
budget....This year I decided to do a short letter and include a 4x6 
picture == some will toss it and others will want it and it'll be 
nice for them to have it without insisting they keep the letter on 
hand.
