Thanks much Alan.and Matthew ...I'll probably be looking for the 6 to
6...it's not readily apparent from the 'port' but I gather from
others here and other info,and Matt's confirmation- that'd be
right...and I'll check out your suggestions -- from my MacLaw list

Actually, it makes a big difference. I've seen the effects of
inferior cabling and it ain't pretty. If you can, get the more
inflexible, non-transparent Molex cables.
From a post a few months ago from an engineer for whom I've great
respect as a straightshooter:
