[DM-MUG] Photo wallets (drives) versus a small iBook or PB... and
solar power things

I am in midst of planning long trip overseas next year and I need to
be able to download and save/protect images -- there are storage
drives for photos [the Epson P2000 comes highly recommended] and
another option is to take along a laptop to download and burn to,
with the added benefit of an ability to be online if needed/wanted.
Any suggestions of which might be best? I do have an iPod reader but
it didn't work while I was gone last week and I'd just as soon have
something dedicated to the task.
Another Q is = electricity will not be always present and I'm
thinking a good solar battery or recharger thing might be a good
thing to take with...any ideas or suggestions ref. that? It'd be
perhaps better than hauling AA batteries all over.
