My research says that with PatchBurn you can install an Easter egg that allows iDVD 04 to save a disk image, also. I'm going to experiment with that this weekend. I just don't want to go through all of these Windows-like work-arounds. I like it when it just works the first time.
My biggest problem with going to iLife 05 is that iMovie has problems with importing 8mm analog with a digital 8 camcorder. Possibly fixed with the latest patch.
