[DM-MUG] Appleworks abruptly quitting?

running ver. 6.9 all fine til just now when [several times = I 
deleted permissions and restarted] I open AWKs and a document, go to 
type a capital M and the program quits.   Just tried to type other 
capitals and then with Caps Lock == quits each time....

so not sure what is going on = I am using Microsoft wireless keyboard 
but all other applications work fine [i.e., caps in them doesn't quit 
the program]
