At least one person I used to work with at CE Software here in Des
Moines moved to Seattle and went to work for Corbis. I got to visit
him and see a bit of what he was working on when I interviewed for a
job at Microsoft back in '93 after the first CE layoffs. He was a Mac
programmer named John Pence.
So there's a Des Moines connection there as well, it seems.
(And man, even 12 years ago Microsoft was one NICE place to work. I
can't imagine what it's like now....)
