[DM-MUG] Extracting/converting - DVD to .mov

I use freeware called "Mac the Ripper". You can download it from here:

It works really fast, even on my iBook. I haven't used it in about half 
a year so I don't quite recall what the workflow is, but I know I 
transcoded to mov or mpg using either Quicktime Pro or VLC 
(VideoLanClient http://www.videolan.org/).
