[DM-MUG] printers

Laser is the best option for black and white printing. HP has a great
lineup of inexpensive lasers. The 1160 also comes with a duplex option
and costs less than $400. That's a great price! Of course the 1012
costs even less.

HP is also the best choice for a low-use inkjet with Canon close
behind. HP isn't the best for color accuracy (as a designer would need)
but I've been happy with a home application. HP, and I believe Canon,
also offer replaceable ink carts (or head units) that contain the
actual print heads--no clogging. Epson believes in having users replace
their printers every 2 years. They do have the corner on the market for
color accuracy and resolution though.

If you wanted an older HP inkjet that works in a classic Mac (Apple
serial) and takes cheaper cartridges, I have a source. E-mail me
directly.
