[DM-MUG] printers

Hi,

One of my daughters seldom uses her printer(weeks between uses). At 
present it is a dot-matrix printer but it is starting to act up on 
her. I have an Eson ink jet I could give her but I am afraid she 
would use all of her ink cleaning it. Would one of the low cost 
lasers be better? As I recall taking the toner cartridge out and 
shaking it seemed to correct a lot of problems.
