[DM-MUG] OS X drag and drop

OS X will NOT boot if you drag-and-drop the data to another drive. You
must clone the data using an OS X-aware backup tool. A very versatile
commercial tool is Prosoft's Data Backup (prosofteng.com). SuperDuper!
(shirtpocket.com) is my current favorite, and is less expensive, but
it's automation is limited at this point. Data Backup has more options
than Retrospect, is more stable, and is easier to use.

I wouldn't use CarbonCopyCloner (CCC). It's been out of development
since approximately 10.2.6 and has been very unreliable on Panther in
my experience.
