[DM-MUG] Darwin Ports

For anyone using Darwin Ports on their systems, Wordtech Software has 
today released the completely rewritten DPGUI to provide a graphical 
front-end to the package manager. It is available at 
http://www.wordtech-software.com/dpgui.html

For those who follow this list, you might recall a conversation a 
couple months back where some of us were lauding Fink, and Bryan 
mentioned how great Darwin Ports was. I gave it another shot and I have 
to tell you the late versions are far superior to Fink, which hasn't 
been the same since the founding author left. DPGUI brings this 
software in line with Fink's ease of use, and appears to provide a 
better browsing feature than Fink Commander does.

WARNING: I have been downloading this 11.7MB file since roughly 11:00 
AM when it was announced. I'm on a T3 connection and I'm just over half 
done. Their server appears to be getting hammered, so please be patient 
or wait until another day to visit the site and grab the software.
