You are probably being fed a line, but you need to articulate exactly what
you want. You will need to explain the purpose for the internet and it woul=
d
be helpful to know what the policies are and how the PC=B9s are used and
configured for this purpose also(content filtering etc.). You will have to
demonstrate that you have anti-virus software, and you will want to also be
ready to explain that the Mac is affected less by viruses, trojans and
spyware than PCs. I doubt any PC guy in good conscience and a straight face
could say PCs are less prone than Macs. So it=B9s not that you even need to
use any server, but just want to be able to browser the inter internet. As
far as I know, it shouldn=B9t require that they change anything, depending on
how tight they secure access. One thing you will probably have to do on
your end, is to make sure that no student logs in to the computer as an
admin. This is a good idea anyway

Yes, Internet access is all I want. That way the kids can go to the Apple
site for information, Atomic Learning, and google for information related t=
o
their projects. Do you think that is do-able? I'm not going to approach
them until I have my grant money ready. I'm not trying to cause trouble for
them, or extra expense. I just want to know if I'm being fed a line!
