Shirley:

Music purchased from the iTunes Store is in =B3protected AAC=B2 format.  Itunes
will not allow you to convert these files to .MP3s, and probably won=B9t let
you burn an .MP3 disc including these files either.

However, you CAN burn protected .AAC files to an audio disc, then rip
unprotected .MP3s from the audio disc.  Yes, it=B9s an extra step, but if you
use CD-RWs, at least you won=B9t be wasting media.
