[DM-MUG] Question re iTunes purchased music backup

I wanted to back up the music I purchased from iTunes in MP3 form onto a CD-R 
disc and it won't let me.   Am I doing something wrong or is this a problem 
relating to copyright infringement?   Any advise will be greatly appreciated.
