It depends on the construction of the building and where you want to be abl=
e
to access it from. If you have two or three areas you will be using it most=

test it from those places while moving the base station. In many places, I
have seen them on the ceiling, but their construction wasn=B9t residential. I
know of someone that put it in his attic with good results. Remember, you
can unplug and test the base station for signal strength anywhere in the
house with out being connected to the internet. Play.
