Thanks for your suggestions.

I just removed the USB Mass Storage Device. I also disabled a couple 
more that I don't need. I'll restart and see what happens.

I have a system installed on another partition of the main drive and 
then a system on a partition of another drive. It still makes me 
nervous not being able to start with extensions off. Using the 
spacebar at boot could be a good idea.
