Thanks for your reply. The 6500 runs fine except for an occasional 
burp like this. I don't know the percentages but a lot of us are 
still using 9.1 and below. If it works then why switch--although the 
17" powerbook and the 20" iMac are tempting just to be able to say I 
have them. Then of course Jaguar (my wife has it) and Panther look 
good sometimes. Really it does most of what I want to do.
