When you say messaging, are you referring to instant messaging, or
e-mail?
In both cases, the greatest security comes from keeping it all
in-house, which is what you can accomplish with CE Software products.
QuickMail provides the server and clients, though you can use any POP
client with the QuickMail server. Whether this mail server talks to the
outside world is entirely up to you. QuickConference is a proprietary
instant messaging system with a server and clients, all running on your
machines.
I would hope that either or both of these would satisfy your
requirements.
FWIW, I don't work for CE (anymore) but I still can't think of a better
solution.
