Affirmative on both points.

ZZZ Records in downtown Des Moines uses an Indigo iMac for his POS and
accounting. I'm not sure what software he's running, but I'm sure he'd be
helpful.

VirtualPC works great, although don't expect blinding speed from your
virtual box. It takes up quite a large amount of system resources, but when
you "gotta" run Windows, it's a lot less frustrating than keeping a Wintel
running. I use it mainly to test the look and layout of web pages on the
"other" platform before I post them, or for A/V shareware that isn't
available for Mac.

My main gripes are that Microsoft bought out VirtualPC's original creator,
Connectix, about a year ago, and they now only offer VPC as part of Office X
Professional Edition (about $600). No standalone version anymore, and it
doesn't come with the Standard or Student versions of Office X.

Hope this helps.

Peace,
CW
