Sorry about taking so long. It turns out that my copy of VPC settings 
is corrupt. I finally started it from backup. I am using XP so it 
might be a little different. In the control panel clicking "Internet 
Settings" the "Automatiically Detect Settings" is not checked. One 
setting there has my mchsi as the default ISP. Under the settings tab 
the mchsi.com setting has the username: rbowler@mchsi.com and the 
password. I have IE offline and OE offline at the moment so the 
control panel has the settings set for no in use.

One place to start on this is at the MS site:

This will lead to some support questions. It will also lead to News 
groups which can help you. I basically let it go by using the 
defaults and it seems to work.
