[DM-MUG] iMovie 4 2GB limit

iMovie 4 still has the 2GB import limit. Apple did update the error 
dialogue box to essentially tell me the same thing it did in v.3. Fact 
remains that I cannot get 12 GB .dv files into iMovie. I use the Formac 
Studio TVR (which I do not recommend doing) to record scheduled 
programs. These programs are large!

I don't have time for QuickTime Pro (which I have) to take an hour to 
re-render each split clip (X 6 theoretically).

Any brainy suggestions?
