I think part of the rumor involves IBM taking over Apple. Selling
their PC division left them free of anti-trust worries should they want
to acquire Apple.
Headless Macs make sense in oh so many ways, since monitors don't need
upgrading as fast as CPUs. I think a killer new version of AppleWorks
would also do wonders, but frankly as long as Office has a stranglehold
on business (and increasingly school software) it will be hard to
penetrate (even in wild dreams) beyond the 10% margin.
