I had heard that the Kyocera Palm-based phones have been troublesome.
Hope yours is fixed. Perhaps your earlier problems were based on an
earlier version of iSync.
I only have experience with the palm-based Treo 600. When I plugged in
my Treo, all I had to do was verify that Hot Sync Manager was set to
use the USB connection (different from my old serial adapter, switch
the device in iSync (though since it's still a Palm, I might not have
HAD to do this) and perform a sync. It took everything from DotMac and
put it on my Treo. It was a whole lot easier than I thought. I haven't
even deleted the data from the old Palm yet, but I've got to figure
that out soon.
Syncing to the new Treo is faster than the older Palm but I still don't
get iCal's whole week events in the Palm Date Book, just the first day.
Minor issues aside, the phone is good and the PDA is great!
