...or install TO an external FW hard drive which will bypass the=20
onboard ATA controller, at least for the hard drive.  It appears that=20
not only is the video problem occurring somewhat regularly (I've seen=20
three in the last 3 weeks=97and it's more than just "video" if an iBook=20=

can't boot into Target Disk Mode), but the onboard ATA controllers are=20=

coming under scrutiny by some.

Semi-related: Can anyone confirm the install-ability of OS X on a 2G -=20=

4G iPod? X won't install to a 1G and I don't have one big enough (or=20
available) anyway. The clone would probably work, but I'm interested in=20=

the actual install.
