The only way to absolutely prevent it is to disable rendering of HTML e-mail.
Otherwise, you'll need to increase the font size for viewing as you open the
e-mails. I haven't used Eudora for years, so can't help there, but in Apple's
Mail it's as easy as pressing Command+ or Command- to increase, or decrease font
size while viewing.
