Let me chime in here... I bought one of the first TiBooks to hit
CompUSA when it came out in, what, February 2001. I loved it, but the
hard drive was too small (10GB) and a faster processor is always a good
thing. I picked up an AlBook on September 25th or so (whatever day
Friday was) and ... it's night and day different from the TiBook.
Everything about the AlBook is sooo much better than the Titanium, and
I thought the TiBook was the greatest thing ever in a laptop (and it
most likely was two years ago).
It's fast. It feels more rugged. It has everything built in (but I
miss IRDA). It's fast. It has a huge hard drive. It burns DVD-Rs at
2X. It's really all good.
I can't say enough about it.
So, if anyone wants to buy a used TiBook 400 with 384MB of RAM and (if
needed) Airport card, let me know. I have one for sell cheap :-)
