[ciapug] Joy of updating to OpenSUSE 11.0

I updated my OS from OpenSUSE 10.3 to OpenSUSE 11.0 last weekend and the
computer would not reboot.  It just came up with a prompt "grub>".

 

I had never seen this before, so I wasn't sure what it was.  After doing
some research, I found out it is a boot loader and it didn't know where to
boot from.  So, now I know how to manually tell it where the kernel and
initrd files are located and how to configure it to find OpenSUSE 11.0.  I'm
not sure why all that was necessary, but I'm back up and running smoothly
again and a little more nerdy.
