I really didn't like version 4 because I prefer OOP and found it too
difficult to figure out what the "&" operator was doing and when to use it.
Even now, I use it in version 4 but I'm not exactly sure when to use it and
when not to use it.  If my code runs, then I know I got it right.  Version 5
is much easier to use because I don't have to worry about the "&" operator.

E_STRICT has only been around since PHP version 5.0
