I too have taken the PHP4 Cert, and I wasn't very impressed with it. The
exam consisted of questions on things any good developer would never do.
Really quite irrelevent. I passed, but I don't feel much the wiser.
Hopefully Zend took the criticisms from that exam into account when
creating the PHP5 one. Let us know if you take it, I'd be curious to
see if it has improved.

I have passed the PHP 4 version. I have not had a chance to work on
the PHP
5 exam yet.
You should definitely check out
http://www.zend.com/education/zend_php_certification for some good
information about the concepts covered in the exam, and it will answer
some
questions.
