The Zend Studio Standard does not have Remote Debugger, Remote Profiler,
Database Connectivity & Integration for: IBM DB2/Cloudscape/ Derby, MySQL,
Oracle Microsoft SQL Server, SQLite, and PostgreSQL, Set of SQL tools: SQL
Query Editor, SQL Explorer, and more. PHPDocumentor, FTP (includes NEW
Advanced integration), or CVS Integration for Team Development that the Pro
version does have.
This I don't really need (Database Connectivity & Integration for: IBM
DB2/Cloudscape/ Derby, MySQL, Oracle Microsoft SQL Server, SQLite, and
PostgreSQL, Set of SQL tools: SQL Query Editor, SQL Explorer, and more) But
the rest is important. The CVS we are implementing here for the whole
credit card security implementation standard that the CC companies has
combined together to come up with the standard as a catch 22 to pass
responsibility of credit card fraud onto us the website hosts.
CVS as a whole has become my little pet project for several reasons.
1. the CVS repository keeps a record of all code changes and who made the
changes (by login)
2. Backup of all files, with revisions. Any file in the repository can be
restored if it had been removed from the site.
3. Security, if for some reason we would be audited for a credit card
fraud. The code changes can be tracked.
For anyone who has not looked at the CC security standard, If a CC theft or
fraud were to happen. The affected CC company can send an audit team to
look for anything that can point the finger at the host, so they do not
need to assume responsibilty.
UltraEdit Studio from looking at it today does several different languages,
it has ftp, and CVS functionality, class browsing, language intelligence.
Downside (though like most) no visual editor. It just nice to switch to
either view to see what it looks like instead of edit, save, upload and view.
