[ciapug] Re: PHP group and SHOTGUN Meeting Date!

WOW!!! I am really happy to see the renewed interest in PHP. I've been
working with it for close to 3 years. I have developed our client database
with PHP and MySQL.

Several website projects for the company and personally Though my personal
sites have gone slow, like the ciapug site. :-)

I am finishing up one major site this week. My latest project included a
file uploader that imports a *.csv or *.txt comma or tab delimited file
reads and inserts the data into a MySQL dbase. A user login that calculates
and determines the users expiration date. Determines their permissions based
on their expiration date. adn notifies them when their expiration is close.
Working with mnogosearch for a site search feature. Planning an internal
project to use PHP and MySQL to streamline some meanial repetative tasksthat
could be automated at work. I don not use PEAR or SMARTY in my programming
though I am able to read through the code and understand mostly what is
going on in it.

Unfortunately the 11:45 time won't work for my schedule, but getting this
PHP group going again would personally be very benificial.

Yes, it does seem like PHP has been in the closet way too long in the DSM
area. I love working with PHP. The company I work for and the programming
group have leaned mainly toward PHP for our development. Though there is
always that one, who has to wave that MS flag loud and proud.

For anyone interested, PHP Architect is setting for this years PHP Cruise.
This year Cancun, Mexico May 11 to the 15th.

I will definately plan on being at the next meeting!!!
