[ciapug] PHP search engines?

Can anyone recommend a good (free) PHP-based search engine?  I just tried 
out TSEP (tsep.sourceforge.net) with mixed results.  Easy to setup/use 
but... the problem is that it indexes the pages of the site exactly as they 
appear as files on the server.  Much of useful content of our site is 
pulled from a MySQL database and generated on the fly.  None of this comes 
up in the search results.  I want to find an engine that actually crawls 
the links on the site rather than the files on the server. If you know of 
any good options off hand, let me know!  (Could just use google's API, but 
that has it's own drawbacks)
