Hello all,

I want to thank again those who made it out to Jason's Deli last week
for the informal meeting. It was very motiviating to see some renewed
interest in an active users group locally.

At the lunch we discussed breifly our next step, so I wanted to touch
base with everyone and share a couple things I've been working on.

CIAPUG MEETINGS

Within the next couple weeks I hope to secure a location for a official
meeting to be scheduled the evening of Wednesday March 2nd at 7:00 PM.
Mark your calendars now!

Future meeting will be scheduled for the first Wednesday of each month
at 7:00 PM. Any exceptions to that rule will be announced via this
mailing list and the CIAPUG web site (www.ciapug.org).

If you have any suggestions about a locations please let me know!
Keep in mind an ideal location for our meetings should ...
- have room for 20 - 35 people comfortably
- have tables and atleast chairs available
- not be to loud, nor to quit, that we can not hold open discussions
- either be flexible about food/beverages being brought in or have
facilities to provide it
- have available power jacks for those who bring laptops, or if we have
a presenter with projecter

CIAPUG WEB SITE

I've also been working a bit more on the CIAPUG web site. First, you can
now access the CIAPUG site via http://www.ciapug.org again, I've
re-registered it for 2 years.

Now those who remember the recent flogging I got for not having it
written in xhtml and css2, nor standards compliant, should find it
settling to know the newest version of the site will be. :)

I did this for two reasons, 1. to get some people of my back :) and 2.
because our site is new enough that it was a great sandbox to mess
around in. It was a fun project and overall the site is much better for it.

The newest version is still very much in development but it's viewable
and I'd appreciate if some could pull it up and let me know if any
specific issues show up in different browsers. You can view the new
version at http://www.ciapug.org/development/v2/

Now this is where I ask for some help.
My strength is not in writting and I have a few paragraphs that I'd like
to have written. Generally they are for the "About us" sections and what
our group is about and it's goals. If you have a good sense for writting
and a little free time please let me know and we can work together to
get the site done.

Well that's it for now, I look forward to seeing as many as can make it
on March 2nd.
