[ciapug] virtual disk (?)

I've investigating the possibility of added a web-based virtual disk or 
file management component to a home-grown intranet/cms.  I'm not sure what 
you would call it.  The idea is that people would be able to upload and 
share files and documents in a central repository.  A pre-written 
open-source package is an option, but I'd like it to integrate with the 
existing framework, including the existing user store and authentication 
scheme.

Anyone done something like this?  Know of any packages or classes that 
would make this real easy?
