The only image gallery I've had much experience with is an add on for 
phpbb ....... I used it for Mid Iowa Camaro Club's image gallery. 
www.midiowacamaroclub.com  I don't have GD installed on my server, so I 
haven't taken full advantage of it.  I'm not sure that it's a stand 
alone application though, I think it was designed to integrate into 
phpbb........

probably one of the best I've seen.

Does anyone have a particular PHP based photo gallery they're fond of?

have a bunch of images I'd like to put up. Things I need:

- easy to use - some of them seem to be really overly complex
- thumbnail generation
- image sizing would be nice

A lot of images are very high quality res - like 2048x1280 (Chris H. 
took
most of those - he can fill in the details), but I'd prefer to have a 
small
thumbnail, and a "normal" sized image more like 1024x768, and possibly 
an
option to view the full sized imag.
