I have not but I would imagine that they would have a decreased life span.
I did support equipment that was near a soybean crush plant once, the dust
caused issues and they would blow the laptops out with the shop compressor
monthly. (not ideal)
If they are ink based I could see issues with the cold. Dust on the glass
of the sensor may be an issue as well. One possibility (depending on the
use case) would be to have a cover when it is not in use? The other option
is that they are relatively cheap so just go for it?
