[Cialug] Gnome issue with current

Gnone Terminal 3.62 (current Leap 15) seems to have a really weird
problem:

After updating my laptop recently (and first install of Leap 15
GUI/Gnome), it appears that gnome-terminal has developed a serious problem
(at least for me):

  Highlighting text in the terminal window has historically placed that
  text into the current clipboard buffer; <shift>Insert or the configured
  paste command sequenece will then paste into any terminal window or X
  application.

  With Leap 15 & Gnome Terminal 3.62, after opening a terminal window, the
  FIRST highlight, <right click>Copy, <right clck>Paste WILL work, but if
  any of other copy/paste key sequences are used, nothing more will work.

Would anyone have a thought on isolating the issue?
