[Cialug] Distributed Config Management

There used to be a distributed key/value config management thing, "back in
the day", but I can't for the life of me remember the name. Or maybe I can.
I keep thinking "confd", but all I can find on that is a GitHub project
written in Go, and what I'm thinking of is quite a bit older than the Go
programming language. (Both of them.)

Anyone know what I'm talking about?
