[Cialug] Hosed Virtualbox Install - Looking for suggestions

I think it was basically that I didn't reboot between uninstalling one
version and installing another. Then it was partially broken, so I tried to
uninstall the 5.1 install and reinstall the 5.0 and I got to a point where
apt-get and aptitude would fail to uninstall either.
