caching is the only motivation you can think of?  :-)

can't remember exact details, but seem to remember we did it for a little
site that kept getting hacked.  we could confine it better to RAM and
overwrite it with fresh content every ten minutes.  much cheaper than
actually fixing the problems  :-(
