I signed up recently with CenturyLink and we agreed to a $50
discount off the price of the modem.  Now I got the first bill
and no discount.  I called them and they said they could only
give me a $25 discount -- something about how that was all
that was available at the time I signed up.  I didn't get the
terms we agreed to in writing so I just said OK.  But at least I
can let others know of what happened and maybe help you
avoid the same mistake.
