I know people get these data cap messages but I don't remember seeing them;
but, part of my browsing habits include the use of the HTTPS Everywhere
<https://www.eff.org/https-everywhere> extension for Firefox/Chrome/Opera.

Essentially it makes all sites HTTPS, check the site for a detailed
explanation; kinda cool, given their not a super-underground, black-ops
extension of the NSA :-P
