[Cialug] Slightly OT, ... an "Online Community"

We're looking for an online structure for our family association, .. but
all I have seen/used seem to be focused on a single aspect - e.g. Meetup
- physical meetings.

Is anyone aware of a platform that could be customized for a single
organization? Something like phpbb but setup for a Membership Fee,
picture uploads, as well as normal BB operation (of course), .. ?
