[Cialug] San Francisco in November

For what it's worth, i drove from Des Moines, IA to Seattle, WA last 
October. I think it took me about 46 hours of wall clock time to get 
there, including frequent breaks from driving and a couple nights of 
poor-quality sleep. The return trip was a similar amount of time. Flying 
would have obviously been faster. The cost of gas and food for the road 
trip was also much higher (maybe about 50%?) than the cost of a round-
trip plane ticket. (I knew this going into it though and chose to drive 
anyway for the experience of making such a journey.)
