In generally agree.

Though it’s worth noting that the documents in question were *not* intended for public release, and therefore shouldn’t be judged by those standards.

And more broadly with respect to Mr. Fry, while I agree it’s cordial to make temporary accommodations when addressing a foreign audience, that practice should be bilateral, and the assumptions you make when people don’t meet your expectations should reflect that — not wearing a suit to an interview *could* indicate that they don’t take the process seriously, or it could indicate that they don’t take suits seriously, or that they thought *you* didn’t take suits seriously, or that they tore their jacket on the way in and decided to leave it in the car, or any of 100 other things.
