[Cialug] Not able to resolve hosts names with a .local domain.

I have not touched the /avahi-daemon.conf/, so no. But on an up note, I 
was able to resolve this issue on two boxes with a full system restart. 
Editing the nsswitch.conf file line "hosts:    files dns 
[NOTFOUND=return]" did the trick. I was able to join the two boxes and 
have smb shares and domain users login. Thank you though.
